Krampus hype in Embach

The annual Krampus run took place in Embach on December 1st, 2018. Hand-carved, traditional masks and shaggy skins with ringing bells – long-standing customs in the Salzburger Land. Various passes from the Gastein Valley as well as Dienten am Hochkönig and of course the Embacher Pass came to Embach. And not only the grim fellows, but also visitors from near and far watched the spectacle. But Santa Claus was there too, and presented the good children with a little sack full of good things.

In Embach the tradition is still very high, as you can see on the great impressions:

Getting in the mood for Advent

Winter in the Salzburger Land is known to be very cold, but the Advent market with its mulled wine stalls provided warmth. Local products were sold, the horse-drawn carriage could be taken and then the Krampus Kränzchen took place in the marquee.

A successful party!
